Strength is learnt when conquering the seemingly insurmountable!

I have been working with the internet since 1993. I have seen a lot of things come and many go, but one thing that has stayed constant is change… Yeah I know, that’s no great insight but why has technology moved on, but the companies that implement or build them not move as fast?

Why do we embrace change with our PDA’s but not within our culture?

I had the misfortune on Friday to witness perhaps the most unprofessional behaviour I have seen in my career. I was stunned and quite honestly I have been wondering about whether I should continue my engagement with the party in question. This of course led me to wonder and then realise a lot of things…

Like: “your best employees are on loan“. Attracting and retaining talented staff is always hard, I know this first hand.

And: What defines unprofessional behaviour? Of course there will be industry specific elements, but what do we as people find repulsive in the workplace? I think without doubt my number one here is aggression. Aggression and bullying has no place at all in a professional environment.

While my comments are not directed to my current employer, I too wonder if I will ever be dooced as this is my first ever post that could be considered provocative from an employer perspective…
